1. Research and Planning
I based the information on this infographic on my personal trip to the city on Montreal in 2019, I made notes and took pictures of all the interesting tourist spots and restaurants and other eateries.
I researched and gathered information on other details like the names of metro stops, ticket prices, other specialties and services and the French names from travel websites.

2. Visual Design
I chose to go with the concept of MINIMALSIM for the overall design and color choices.
I chose “Vintages” as the title type face, Avenir for subheadings and “Geometria” as the descriptive type face as all three of them have a contrast in style although they are sans serif typefaces, for legibility purposes.

I also chose 4 colors with two of them as accents with black and white values for a clean and interesting design and readability.

3. Illustration
The illustrations are based on the photographs I took on my trip and I added some illustrations of people and crowd with the buildings to make the infographic more organic.
I also made the illustrations with souvenir merchandising in mind.

4. Merchandise mockups
The mock ups are for souvenir merchandising. I purchased a lot of souvenirs on my travels and was inspired to design elements for coffee/tea cups, buttons, tote bags and many more  as they seemed to be most practical to use on a day to day basis.
